Salience Enterprises Inc. ("Salience", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use the Salience portfolio builder platform (the "Service").
We collect the following categories of information: • Account information: When you sign in via GitHub OAuth, we receive your public GitHub profile (username, avatar, email if public). We store your GitHub username to associate your portfolio data with your account. • Portfolio content: Information you enter into the portfolio builder, including name, bio, work experience, education, skills, projects, and any uploaded images or documents. This data is stored in our database (Supabase/PostgreSQL) and used solely to generate and deploy your portfolio. • Resume data: If you use the AI resume autofill feature, your uploaded PDF is sent to a third-party AI service for parsing. The file is not stored beyond the parsing session. • Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment details on our servers. We receive a payment confirmation and transaction ID from Stripe. • Usage data: Basic access logs (page visits, feature usage) may be collected for debugging and improving the Service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
We use your information to: • Authenticate your account and maintain your session • Store and render your portfolio content • Deploy your portfolio to GitHub Pages on your behalf • Process payment and verify purchase status • Parse your resume if you opt into AI autofill • Respond to support requests • Improve the platform's stability and features We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
When you authorize Salience via GitHub OAuth, we request only the permissions necessary to create and push your portfolio repository to your GitHub account. We do not access private repositories unless one is created by the deployment process. Your GitHub access token is used only for the duration of your deployment action and is not stored persistently on our servers.
Your portfolio data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database hosted in a secured cloud environment. We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit and database-level access controls. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personally identifiable information from our databases within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements. Deployed portfolio files on GitHub Pages are under your GitHub account's control and must be removed directly through GitHub.
The Service uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: • GitHub (authentication, hosting): github.com/privacy • Stripe (payment processing): stripe.com/privacy • Supabase (database): supabase.com/privacy • AI providers (resume parsing, usage limited to file parsing only) We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services.
We use session cookies to maintain your authenticated state after sign-in. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. By using the Service, you consent to the use of necessary session cookies.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at salienceenterprises@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
