Salience Enterprises Inc. ("Salience", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use the Salience platform (the "Service"), including the portfolio builder, resume builder, newcomer resume converter, LMIA employer database, and job search service.
We collect the following categories of information: • Account information: When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. If you connect a GitHub account for portfolio deployment, we receive your GitHub username and a scoped access token. • Portfolio content: Information you enter into the portfolio builder, including name, bio, work experience, education, skills, projects, and any uploaded images or documents. This data is stored in our database and used solely to generate and deploy your portfolio. • Resume data: If you use the resume converter or AI autofill, your uploaded PDF or pasted text is processed by our AI pipeline. Uploaded files are not stored beyond the processing session. • Newcomer profile data: If you use the newcomer toolkit, we store your source country, work authorization type, expiry dates, and conversion history to personalize your experience. • Job search service data: If you inquire about or use the job search service, we collect the information you provide in the intake form (name, email, message, target roles, preferences). • Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment details on our servers. • Usage data: Basic access logs (page visits, feature usage) may be collected for debugging and improving the Service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
We use your information to: • Authenticate your account and maintain your session • Store and render your portfolio content • Deploy your portfolio to GitHub Pages on your behalf • Convert international resumes to Canadian format • Provide LMIA employer search and matching • Deliver the job search service to enrolled users • Process payment and verify purchase status • Respond to support requests • Improve the platform's stability and features We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Salience uses Google OAuth as the primary sign-in method. We receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password. For portfolio deployment, you may optionally connect a GitHub account. When you do, we request only the permissions necessary to create and push your portfolio repository. Your GitHub access token is stored securely in our database and used only for deployment actions. You can disconnect GitHub at any time from your dashboard, which revokes the token and deletes it from our records. We link accounts by email address. If you sign in with Google and later connect GitHub using the same email, they are associated under one user profile.
Your data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database hosted in a secured cloud environment. We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit and database-level access controls. GitHub access tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to client-side code. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personally identifiable information from our databases within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements. Deployed portfolio files on GitHub Pages are under your GitHub account's control and must be removed directly through GitHub.
The Service uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: • Google (authentication): policies.google.com/privacy • GitHub (portfolio hosting, optional account linking): github.com/privacy • Stripe (payment processing): stripe.com/privacy • Supabase (database): supabase.com/privacy • Web3Forms (contact form delivery): web3forms.com/privacy • AI providers (resume parsing and conversion) We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services.
We use session cookies to maintain your authenticated state after sign-in, and short-lived CSRF cookies to protect OAuth flows. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. By using the Service, you consent to the use of necessary session cookies.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at salienceenterprises@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
