By accessing or using Salience ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Salience Enterprises Inc. reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Salience is a newcomer career platform that includes: • A portfolio website builder with one-click deployment to GitHub Pages • An AI-powered resume builder with 20+ templates • A newcomer resume converter that adapts international CVs to Canadian format • An LMIA employer database compiled from publicly available government data • A job search service where our team applies to jobs on your behalf (paid, scope-dependent) Free tools (portfolio builder, resume builder, resume converter, LMIA employer search) are offered at no charge. The job search service is a separate paid engagement with pricing communicated before commitment.
Access to the Service requires authentication via Google OAuth. By signing in, you authorize us to receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. For portfolio deployment, you may optionally connect a GitHub account. This grants Salience permission to create and push repositories on your behalf. Your GitHub access token is stored securely server-side and used only for deployment actions. You may disconnect GitHub at any time from your dashboard, which revokes the token. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the accounts you use to sign in. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
Free tools (portfolio builder, resume builder, resume converter, LMIA employer database) are offered at no charge and will remain free. A paid Pro tier may be introduced in the future; existing free features will not be gated retroactively. The job search service is a separately priced engagement. Fees are communicated and agreed upon before any work begins. Payment for the job search service is processed through Stripe. By using the Service, you receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use it for personal and professional purposes.
The job search service is a human-assisted service where our team researches, tailors, and submits job applications on your behalf. By enrolling: • You authorize us to submit applications using the information you provide • You understand that we do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes • You retain the right to review and approve applications before submission • You may cancel the service at any time; refund terms are communicated at enrollment Salience is not an employment agency, staffing firm, or immigration consultant. The job search service assists with application submission only.
The LMIA employer database is compiled from publicly available data published by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). While we make reasonable efforts to keep the data accurate and current: • A positive LMIA record means an employer was approved to hire foreign workers in the past — it does not mean they are currently hiring • Salience is not affiliated with IRCC, ESDC, or any government body • This data is informational only and does not constitute immigration advice • For immigration decisions, consult a licensed RCIC or immigration lawyer
You agree not to use the Service to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the platform. You may not impersonate any person or entity. Salience reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
All templates, design assets, and code comprising the Salience platform are the intellectual property of Salience Enterprises Inc. Your portfolio content (text, images, project descriptions) and resume content remain your own. By using the Service, you grant Salience a limited license to process and transform your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service. Salience does not claim ownership of your content.
The Service integrates with Google (authentication), GitHub (portfolio hosting), Stripe (payments), and third-party AI APIs (resume parsing and conversion). Use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Salience is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Salience does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including employment results, from use of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salience Enterprises Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
