Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026  ·  Salience Enterprises Inc.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Salience ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Salience Enterprises Inc. reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Salience is a portfolio builder platform that enables users to create, customize, and deploy professional portfolio websites to GitHub Pages. The Service includes an AI-assisted resume parser, a template library, a portfolio editor, and a one-click deployment engine. The Service is provided on a one-time payment basis with no recurring subscription.

3. User Accounts & GitHub Integration

Access to the Service requires authentication via your GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your GitHub credentials. Salience accesses only the GitHub permissions necessary to create and push your portfolio repository. We do not store your GitHub token beyond the active session. You may revoke Salience's access to your GitHub account at any time through your GitHub account settings.

4. Payment & Licensing

The Service is offered for a one-time fee of $8.99 USD at launch pricing. Payment grants you a perpetual, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal portfolio deployment. No refunds are issued after a portfolio has been successfully deployed. If deployment fails due to a platform error, you may contact support for a resolution or refund review. Pricing is subject to change for new customers; existing customers retain their access.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the platform. You may not impersonate any person or entity. Salience reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All templates, design assets, and code comprising the Salience platform are the intellectual property of Salience Enterprises Inc. Your portfolio content (text, images, project descriptions) remains your own. By using the Service, you grant Salience a limited license to process and transform your content solely for the purpose of building and deploying your portfolio. Salience does not claim ownership of your content.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with GitHub Pages for hosting and the GitHub API for authentication and deployment. Use of those services is subject to GitHub's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Service may also use third-party AI APIs for resume parsing. Salience is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Salience does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including employment results, from use of the portfolio generated by the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salience Enterprises Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
